Now Companies can have the technology in their business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, instead of paying consultants and specialists. Companies can easily collect the necessary data to make better decisions for the business and their operators. No need to guess what is happening in the shop or with operators. This data allows companies to be proactive in preventing complaints, problems and injuries that result from vibration, dust, proximity collisions.

How Reactec Works Diagram

Most companies do not have a lot of hard data or reports to make or justify decisions on spending money for operator safety. The main reason for limited information is it is difficult to collect data from operators. Companies are spending money on safety based on experience, opinions and past knowledge which can be subjective. Some companies will hire expensive consultants for a day or couple days to examine a short time period which will lead to decisions that impact the company for the long term.

Now a company can use the Reactec System to monitor the situation for as long as they want to collect data. They will have more than enough information to support their decisions on operator and company safety. They will be able to see trends, benchmark operations and identify extreme situations.

The next step with this technology is to measure how good those improvements are. There can be an ongoing lean process of making changes and learning what works and what does not. Ultimately this provides the feedback and data to determine the best solutions for the company and operator.

The Reactec R-Link Watch is one platform to easily collect a variety of operator data. No other wearable device will do all of these safety items. All the operator does is wear the device, it’s simple.

Reactec Analytics automatically collects, organizes and develops a variety of reports to help companies manage HAVs – Hand/Arm Vibration, Dust & Proximity data.

As soon as the watch is placed in the Gateway Docking Station all the data is sent to the Reactec Analytics platform where it is organized into a variety of reports. The standard data reports will provide companies the supporting information to help them make informed decisions. This data can also be adapted, modified and customized into other reports you may need. Then these can automatically be emailed to you or any of your staff on a regular schedule.

Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS)

Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) is the medical term for damage that may occur to the fingers, hands and arms as a result of working with vibrating tools or machinery. Vibration injuries are divided into three subgroups:

There is no cure for the life-changing condition, and those affected suffer physically, financially and emotionally.

Symptoms can take between 6 months and 20 years to appear and are irreversible.

Employers can lose key workers at a time of skill shortages, while businesses may also face expensive personal injury claims and increased insurance premiums.
